RELEASE FROM LIABILITY
(Heidi Totten and/or 100 Humanitarians International)

100 Humanitarians International and Emparnat Safaris (Kenya) are tour operators, taking
groups on expeditions to Kenya for safari and service. Therefore, funds for expeditions go
towards: Transportation, Accommodations, Food, Safari, Water, tourist fees, and Kenyan
staff. They do NOT go towards fundraising for projects.

I, the undersigned individual ____________________ hereby acknowledge and agree:

1. That the scheduled trip to Africa with 100 Humanitarians International will include air travel and
various related activities that are dangerous and hazardous, both in obvious and unforeseen
potential hazards and risks connected therewith. The activities will include participation in a
safari, which could result in potential injuries and/or bodily harm due to unpredictable animal
behavior. As part of the humanitarian efforts involved in this trip, the undersigned may also be
participating in gardening and other related service projects for the local communities which
may result in contact with and exposure to soil or other components of the local ecosystem that
could potentially contain germs, bacteria or be otherwise contaminated. Also, the nature of
travel to the country of Kenya presents the possibility of contracting diseases and other illnesses
which are common to that region of the country, including but not limited to malaria and/or
potentially Ebola virus (there are no documented cases of Ebola in Kenya at this time.) Although
every effort will be made to reduce and minimize the associated risks, including only drinking
bottled water and securing the safest hotel and transportation accommodations, the
undersigned hereby acknowledges that he/she is willingly and voluntarily engaging in said Travel
and Activities with full knowledge and disclosure of the inherent hazards and risks connected
therewith, which, in worst case scenario could result in serious bodily injury and/or death. All of
these activities as well as others are related to the humanitarian expeditions planned for 2020.

2. That the undersigned, on behalf of himself/herself and his/her children, wards, estate, heirs,
executors, and assigns in consideration for being allowed to participate in the Travel and
Activities acknowledges the physical risks to body and property inherent in pursuing these
Travel and Activities, and hereby willingly, knowingly, and voluntarily accept and assume the
aforementioned risks and responsibilities. The undersigned further agrees to abide by any rules,
regulations, and/or instructions (verbal or written) given with respect to the Travel and
Activities, if any.

3. That the undersigned, on behalf of himself/herself and his/her children, wards, estates, heirs,
executors, and assigns, in consideration for being allowed to participate in the Travel and
Activities agrees to indemnify and hold harmless 100 Humanitarians International, a Utah
corporation, as well as Heidi Totten, and all of her affiliates, relatives, employees, agents and
representatives (collectively the “Coordinator”), from and against any and all liabilities, claims or
damages incurred during any of the Travel and Activities.

4. That the undersigned, on behalf of himself/herself and his/her children, wards, estate, heirs,
executors, and assigns, hereby acknowledges that he/she has been advised by the Coordinator
to obtain travel insurance which would be sufficient to cover the cost of air travel, as well as any
deposits that may have been pre-paid to secure participation in the scheduled safari and other
related Travel and Activities. The Coordinator will not refund the deposit in the event the Travel
and Activities are canceled for any reason, including unforeseen circumstances due to the
spread of illness in the region, catastrophic weather events, and act of God, etc. The
undersigned acknowledges that he/she is required to obtain travel insurance, and
agrees that the Coordinator will not be held personally and/or financially responsible or liable for
the loss of any pre-paid expenses that result as a cancelation of the Travel and Activities.

5. It is the undersigned’s specific intent to absolve Coordinator of all liability and responsibility of
any kind in connection with the undersigned’s participation in the Travel and Activities.
