Beginning in June 2015, 100 Humanitarians International has always focused on self-reliance and economic development in families. We seek to answer the question, “What is the power of 100 people working together on any project in the world to create positive change?”
On our March 2018 expedition, we crossed that 100 people traveling with us to Kenya after 8 expeditions.
Our vision is to work with families in communities all over the world, but we have begun in Kenya, Africa. We partner with other organizations that have “boots on the ground” in other locations, such as Ghana, The Philippines, and Haiti.
In Kenya, we work in 8 different communities right now, have mentored over 50 families, sponsor 25 kids in school, and provide Days for Girls reusable feminine hygiene kits to three schools and a rescue center for girls who have run from female genital mutilation (FGM) and early marriage.
In each area, we have community developers who assist us with identifying the families who are ready to learn the skills that we teach. We begin with garden towers, to teach accountability. If a family is ready, and has paid it forward, they can earn chickens, goats, and other parts of the Business Box for Families.
We invite you to join us on an expedition. Come experience Kenya! Karibu!
